Meaning of G20
G20 is group of major economic countries, which account for 80% of GDP, 75% of global trade and 60% of population of earth. The G20 started in 1999 as meeting of finance minister and central bank governors. The meeting of G20 is emerged after the global crisis in the year 2008. First time in November 2008, G20 leaders convened and managed to coordinate fiscal, monetary and economy policies to put global economy on recovery.
International organization in the G20
- International organization participate in the G20 to provide their inputs.
- The organization of economic cooperation and development (OECD) acted as strategic advisor in the G20 meet.
- The OECD has been working with the IMF on public development systems and the primary arrangement plan as a component of the Structure serious areas of strength for, and adjusted development, with the ILO on youth business and orientation, with the World Bank, UNDP and other global associations on improvement, with the IEA on petroleum products, and with the WTO and UNCTAD on checking speculation and exchange protectionism.
- The G20 participates dialogues with G20 Engagement group 2022 (B20, L20, C20, T20, W20, Y20, U20) to promote inclusion (gather right people for right work) for global solutions.
- The G20 meets address the key relevance of business, labour, youth, gender equality and urban policies, private sector, think tanks, trade unions, scientists, youth and women association.
