The 20^th World Press Freedom index is published by Reports without borders (RSF). The 2022 world press freedom index assesses the state of journalism of 180 countries. The ranking of USA is 42 out of 180 countries; its ranking was 44 in the year 2021. The ranking of India is 150 in the world.
