ECO Mark

People are familiar with ISI mark, but don’t know about ECO Mark. Do you know about ECO Mark?

A Scheme for labeling environment friendly products to be known as ECO Mark. It has been introduced at the instant of ministry of environment and forest. The ECO mark should be administrated by Bureau of India Standards ( BIS ) under the BIS act 1986. Products to be eligible for marking with the ECO mark it shall also carry the standard mark of BIS for quality.

Optional requirement for ECO Mark

The manufacturers shall produce to BIS environmental consent clearance from the state pollution board as per norms laid down under the for applying ECO mark.
