The best Indonesian coffee comes from Sumatra, Sulawesi and Java America. Sumatra is largest producer of coffee in Indonesia. The Sumatra is third largest producer of coffee after Brazil and Vietnam.

Mandheling  Mandheling in the Northern Sumatra produces the most famous coffee in the Indonesia. The coffee is produced by wet hulled method, it is also called as semi washed.

Aceh ( Gayo ) Gayo coffee is grown on the northmost of Sumatra. It is higher toned, sweeter, cleaner and lighter bodied than Mandheling or Lintong coffee.

Sulawesi ( Toraja ) This type of coffee is produced by traditional washed process. It is medium bodied and mildly acidic with bright flavors.

Java  Java coffee is heavily bodied and less acidic than most of the Sumatra coffee. A low toned richness present in this Indonesian and New Guinea coffee.

Kopi Luwak It is produced in the centre of the small island, made with dropping collected after little raccoon -like creatures have munched on the coffed beans.
