The SDO has steadily image the sun in 4K x 4K resolution for nearly 13 years The SDO captures the sun image every 0.75 seconds.

The atmospheric assembly instrument takes images every 12 seconds and 10 different wavelengths of lights.

This video shows combines of all images and converting into 59 minutes. The SDO transmits data of 1.4 Tera bytes to ground every day.

Some of the dark moments in the video is caused by moon or earth eclipsing SDO as they pass between space craft and sun.
