Nadaprabhu Hiriya Kempe Gowda, also known as Kempegowda, is a founder of the Bengaluru, Karnatakal.

In 1537, Nadaprabhu Kempegowda was a ruler under the Vijayanagara Empire. He was respected by the people of old Mysuru and other parts of southern Karnataka.

Kempegowda is known for his contribution to the development of Bengaluru city therefore, the statue has been named the Statue of Prosperity.

The height of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda statue is 108 feet and weight 220 tonnes with a sword weighing 4 tonnes.

The 108-feet bronze sculpture named the 'Statue of Prosperity' has been unveiled at the Kempegowda Worldwide Air terminal outside Bengaluru.

The Statue of Prosperity made by Padma Shree Awardee Ram V Suthar using 98 tonnes of bronze and 120 tonnes of steel.
