  • Harun India and Edel Give released list of most generous individuals in India 2021. 
  • This is 8th annual ranking by them. This will highlights list of contributors towards nation building
  • Azim Premji retains – India’s Most Generous title for the second year consecutive. He donated Rs. 27 Crore per day. The Azim Premji Foundation allocated funds from Rs. 1,125 Crore to Rs. 2,125 Crore to expand work on vaccination across ten states in India. 
  • Shiv Nadar, Chairman of HCL Tech donates Rs. 70 Crore for COVID relief. 
  • Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Ambani supply over 1000 MT of medical grade liquid oxygen per day ( 11% of India’s total production ). He supplied almost 55,000 MT  of medical grade liquid oxygen across country free of cost. 
  • Birla group supplies Rs. 50 Crore for masks, PPE kit and ventilators for India.
  • Nandan Nilekani and Rohini Nilekani committed to donating half of their wealth towards philanthropy. 
  • A M Naik, former chairman of L & T is at the 11thposition and he has taken pledged to give away 75% of his income for charitable purposes.
