PMNRF
- The full form of PMNRF is Prime Minister National Relief Fund.
- In 1948, Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru established Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund with public contribution to assist displaced persons from Pakistan.
- It is now utilized for relief to families of those who killed in natural calamities like floods, cyclones and earthquakes, etc. and to the victims of the major accidents and riots.
- The fund is partially defraying the expenses for medical treatment like heart surgeries, kidney transplantation, cancer treatment and acid attack etc.
- This fund is entirely public contributions and it does not get any budget support.
- The corplus of the fund is invested in various commercial banks and other agencies.
- The fund disbursement is made with the approval of the Prime Minister.
- This fund operates from the Prime Minister’s Office, South Block, New Delhi-110011 and does not pays any license fee. Donation is exempted under Income Tax Act, 1961 under Section 10 and 139 for return purposes.
- Contributions towards PM relief fund are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

- Donations in foreign currency may be made to A/c in Central Bank of India, 66, Jan path, New Delhi-110001, A/c No. 1226769846, IFS Code – CBIN0280318, SWIFT Code – CBININBBJAN .
- After making donations, the donor may send details viz. Sender Name, Address, Ordering Bank, Transaction Reference Number, Amount in Foreign Current and in Indian Rupees (INR), Date of Transaction through email at pmnrf@gov.in
