The full form of PGI is performance grading index. The performance grading index for districts is released by the department of school education and literacy, ministry of education for the year 2020-21 and 2021-22. India has almost 14.9 lakhs school, 95 lakh teachers and 26.5 crore students from varied socio-economic backgrounds. This terminology is used for indexing school performance.
