Basic Science Courses ( BS )
- It is defined as the scientific disciplines of mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology.
- There courses are called as basic courses because they provide fundamental knowledge or understanding of natural phenomena.

Engineering Science Courses ( ES )
- The engineering science courses are based on mathematics and basic sciences but carry knowledge toward creative application needed to solve engineering problems.
- The study of engineering science courses provides bridge between mathematics and basic sciences on one end and engineering practice on other hand.

Open Elective Courses ( OE )
- It is defined as the courses which is available for students of all programs. Ant one program can offer other program subject is called as open elective subject.
- A subject of basic of information and technology is computer branch subject, but it is also an open elective subject for other branch if it is offered by that branch.
- There is no tutorial and practical in the open elective subjects.

Audit courses ( OE )
- In terms of educational language, it is completion of course of study in which assessment of student is not done by any grade or examination.
- There is no credit in the audit courses.
