Asian Paint Business

The company was set up by four friends as a partnership firm. The company has been market leader in the paint industry since 1967. Its main business includes

• Paints for industrial and decorative use
• Water proofing
• Adhesives
• Home improvement and décor segment
• Bath and kitchen products
• Lighting, furnishings and furniture
• Wide range of sanitizers and surface disinfectant in the health and hygiene segment
• Company acquires 51% stake in Weatherseal Fenestration in March 2022 which would be engaged in business of interior decoration / furnishing, manufacturing of uPVC windows and door systems
• Company also acquired 49% stake in Obgenix software commonly known as White Teak engaged in the business of decorative lighting products and fans.
• The company acquired 51% stake in sleek group, which is kitchen solution provider in august 2013. The company has launched smart kitchen range for easy installation and design under sleek brand. The company acquired 49% stake from erstwhile promoters therefore sleek is wholly subsidiary company of Asian paint.
• The company acquired entire stake of Ess Ess which is prominent player in the bath segment in India provides high quality products in this segment.
• The company introduced – Royale premium range of Bath fittings and Bath sense.

 

Asian Paint Group

• The Asian Paint group operates the world through its subsidiaries – Asian Paint Berger, Apco Coatings, SCIB Paints, Taubmans, Asian Paints Causeway and Kadisco Asian Paints.

Asian Paint: Decorative Paints

• It operates in the four segments Wall finishes, Exterior wall finishes, Enamels and Wood Finishes.
• It also offers water proofing, wall coating and adhesive products.

Asian Paint: Coating Space

• It operates through two 50:50 joint venture with PPG Inc, USA which is largest paint manufacturing process.
• The company has approved the setting up plant for manufacturing facility of Vinyl Acetate Ethylene Emulsion (VAE) and Vinyl Acetate Manomer (VAM) in India with investment of Rs 2100 crore over 3 years.
