AICTE Scholarship

The AICTE has launched SWANATH Scholarship scheme for students in the year of 2021 – 22. This scholarship is provided to encourage and supports

• Orphans
• Wards of parents died due to COVID 19
• Wards of armed forces and central paramilitary forces martyred

For opportunity of higher study and successful future.

 

Eligibility – SWANATH Scholarship

 The candidate should be

 

1	Orphan OR Either or both parents died due to Covid 19 OR Wards of armed forces and central paramilitary forces martyred in action ( Shaheed )
2	Currently studying in AICTE approved institution, courses at degree / diploma level
3	Family income not more than 8 Lakh

 

Amount of Scholarship – SWANATH Scholarship

•  Rs. 50,000 per annum for four year degree course

• Rs. 50,000 per annum of diploma course
• If candidate is currently studying in the 2^nd year, he / she is eligible for 2^nd, 3^rdand 4^th year.

Number of Scholarships

• 1000 Scholarship for diploma students
• 1000 Scholarship for degree students

Selection Criteria for Diploma Students

Merit based 10^thresult / Equivalent examinations

Resolving tie in the 10^thresult

( 1 ) Elder age will ranked higher

( 2 ) If the above method does not break ties, lower family income will ranked higher 

Selection Criteria for Degree Students

Merit based 10 + 2 result / Equivalent examinations

Resolving tie in the 12^thresult

( 1 ) Higher percentage of marks in 10^th examination will be ranked higher

( 2 ) If the tie does not break, elder age will ranked higher

( 3 ) If the tie does not break, lower family income will ranked higher

Reservation for SWANATH Scholarship

 As per Government of India Rules

Documents for SWANATH Scholarship

 Orphan Candidate

·        Death certificate of mother and father due to covid 19

·        Affidavit on Rs. 100 stamp as per given annexure

·        Bonafide certificate issued by AICTE Approved Institute

·        12^th pass or 10+2 Equivalent certificate for Degree engineer / 10^th or equivalent for Diploma

·        Caste certificate if any – ST / SC / OBC (with non – crème layer )

Candidate whose either or both Parents died due to COVID 19

·        If one parent (Mother / Father) is alive, current year income certificate of family should be less than Rs. 8 Lakh.

·        Death certificate of mother / father mentioning of death due to COVID 19

·        Bonafide certificate issued by AICTE Approved institute

·        12^th pass or 10+2 Equivalent certificate for Degree engineer / 10^th or equivalent for Diploma

·        Caste certificate if any – ST / SC / OBC ( with non – crème layer )

·        Affidavit on Rs. 100 stamp as per given annexure

Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred ( shaheed )

• Death certificate
• Shaheed certificate issued by Armed forces / Central Paramilitary Forces
• Current year income certificate which is less than 8 Lakh
• 10 + 2 / Equivalent and 10^th marksheet for Degree, 10^th / Equivalent for Diploma
• Caste certificate if applicable ( ST / SC / OBC )

Procedure for Application – SWANATH Scholarship

 

Apply online on national scholarship portal after advertisement published on AICTE / NSP portal.

Institute where student is studying, will requires to verify online application

Department of Education ( DTE ) of state / UT will verify application.

 

Mode of Payment – SWANATH Scholarship

 

The candidate will get scholarship direct in bank account after selection.
