The Adani Agri fresh limited is wholly subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited, as a part of Adani Group. AAFL emerged as first company to engage in organized apple purchase, storage and marketing business.
They construct atmospheric storages in the apple belt of Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh in 2006.
They he set-up includes state-of-the-art controlled atmosphere facilities of 22,400 MT capacity in the apple growing belts of Shimla district in Bithal ( Near Rampur ), Sainj ( Near Theog ) and Mehandli ( Rohru ).

Farm-Pik Brand of Adani

Adani’s established in the horticulture sector through world class storage facilities and packaging operations.
Due to storage facilities, highest grade of horticulture products available at any time.
This business model has helped Himachal Pradesh’s apple farmers creating for themselves a flourishing livelihood.
AAFL has network of more than 15,000 farmers in the Himachal Pradesh, sourcing of apples from Shimla, Kinnaur and Kullu valleys spread across 700 villages.
AAFL has trained filed team and pool of renowned scientists to reach out these farmers to provide advice for boost production and enhanced quality.
AAFL also provide guidance to farmers for proper sorting, grading, selecting and logistics in line with international standards.
The company’s distribution network comprises 76 wholesale ad 1500 retailers Pan – India in addition to retail format.

Before AAFL’s interest in the area, everything must be finished by farmers themselves.
They needed to sort the apples physically according to variety, shape and size and pack them.
This was trailed by manual stacking into trucks to ship this to distant business sectors where they needed to bear dishonest commission and limits charged by specialists, well beyond bearing the transportation costs.
This process takes numbers of days and prompted a ton of bother to the farmers as significant investment contributed.
The interaction doesn’t end here. When they sold apples in the market, some is wasted due to improper handling which gives huge losses to them.
