At Paris 2024, each weight category is organized two competition days. During first competition day, each category takes place for medical control and weight in. During second competition day, wrestlers who qualified for the finals and repechage are weighted in again.

Vinesh was unseeded, had qualified for the final. Vinesh Phogat beat Olympic Champion Yui Susaki of Japan in the opening round. She bet former European Champion Oksana Livach of Ukraine and Pan American Games Champion Yusneylis Guzman of Cuba in the semifinal. She was to face USA’s Sarah Hildebrandt in the final.
