- The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, launched the 5G Non-Standalone Alone (NSA) Core, indigenously designed and developed by C-DOT at C-DOT pavilion in India Mobile Congress (IMC), 2022 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The cost of data has reduced from Rs. 300 per GB in 2014 to Rs. 10 per GB in 2022. Average Data used per person is 14 GB per month.
- Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF), a body under the Department of Telecommunications, officially launched Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) Scheme on October 01st, 2022. The Department is implementing two flagship programmes of the central government i.e., Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen (SBM-G) and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
- SBG mission was launched in 2014 with the aim to stop open defecation. All the villages in the India declared themselves open defecation on 2nd October, 2019. SBM-G 2.0 was launched to sustain the ODF status in villages and improve the level of cleanliness in rural areas through solid and liquid waster management.
