Habit of eating food AYUSHPOSHAN
In this post, dietary according to ayurveda is given. According to AYUSHPOSHAN, there are five rights to consume foods. We will discuss each of Rights in briefly.
What are the 5 – Rights of AYURPOSHAN?
- According to Principles of Ayurveda, one should follow 5 rights of AYURPOSHAN.
Right Time
- One should take meal on time on feeling of hunger and after digestion of previous meal
- One should take three meals breakfast, lunch and dinner with gap of at least two- and half-hour interval between each meal
Right Quantity
- Consume optimum quantity of food in order to avoid overeating or under eating. Consider three part of stomach, one filled with solid, other filled with liquid and keep the third part empty. Consume food less than your hugeness
Right Quality
- Fresh cooked food and easy to digest
- One should consume food comprising six rasa (tastes)
- Sweet
- Sour
- Salt (taste like lemon)
- Pungent (strong taste that is unpleasant)
- Bitter (bad taste in mouth)
- Astringent (pungent and drying sensation that find unpleasant)
Right Methods
- Consume food with due respect like avoiding watching TV and avoiding talking
Right Place
- One should take food according to season, regional fruits, vegetable in daily diet
- Take food as per traditional food processing techniques
- Use iron Utensils for cooking of food except of sour food items
