Full Form of DAP

The full form of DAP Fertilizer is Diammonium Phosphate. It is a phosphate-based fertilizer. The Phosphorus is essential nutrient with nitrogen and its plays important role in the development of new plant tissues and the regulation of protein in the crop.

DAP Fertilizer Subsidy

The actual price of a bag of DAP is Rs. 1700 but the farmer gets it just Rs. 1200. The government pays Rs 500 on behalf of farmers. As the price of ammonia and phosphoric acid increases at the international market, the price of DAP also increases at Rs 2400. The government has provided subsidy of Rs 500, it will available to farmers at Rs. 1900 therefore government decided to maintain price of DAP at Rs. 1200 by support of Rs 700 subsidy which is more than 140%.
